2025 was a tough year for me personally and for the year at large. I slowed down a smidge with reading and a lot with posting here on my blog. I have a backlog of posts that I hope to get to soon. Know if you're feeling sluggish, you aren't alone. Still, books continue to mean a lot to me. They bring me closer to others, they give me an escape from this world, and they challenge my perception of all kinds of things.
Below you will find my 2025 reading stats from The StoryGraph, a website created by Nadia Odunayo, a black woman and software engineer. It is also unaffiliated with Amazon, unlike GoodReads. Feel free to add me on there!

(I think it may have been 74, one book was seemingly logged twice)

Started and ended 2025 with queer books by women I've read previously!

The biggest dip here being in July/August when I was reading my
longest book of the year, The Starless Crown by James Rollins.

With The Story Graph, you can explore stats like these all year round!
They even make monthly wrap-ups now!

My goal this year is not numbers based. I want to focus on creative challenges, and The StoryGraph has plenty to participate in! What are your reading goals this year?
Happy 2026!
