The HANNAH Challenge

In my Nate Plus One review I teased that I was doing a reading challenge based on my first name. I have now completed The HANNAH Challenge! This means that I have read a book for each letter in my name. The book titles needed to start with one of the letters to count. I also read it in the same order as the letters in "Hannah". See below for what books I used!

Hello, Universe by Erin Entrada Kelly:

This is a cute middle grade book about a quiet boy named Virgil getting trapped in a well. It is told from several points of view, including the bully that gets him trapped in the well. Virgil is unsure that anyone knows he is down there and he has no way to make himself known. When he doesn't arrive at his friend's house, she forms a small search party. The story is not just about if they will get him before it is too late. It's about self confidence, what kind of bond we form with the universe, and why our identities matter.

Always Only You by Chloe Liese:

This is the second book in a romance series that features members of the same family. I accidentally read it before the first one in the series because I was drawn in by the autistic main character. Frankie is the social media manager for a hockey team, a hockey team that Ren Bergman stars on. He has been interested in Frankie for years, but its only as she prepares to start law school that he starts to realize he has a shot with her. They technically can't be together for legal reasons, but mental/physical health might just stand in the way too.

Nate Plus One by Kevin van Whye:

You can learn more about this book in my review of it here - https://thewahlpapers.wixsite.com/my-site/post/nate-plus-one-review

Nick and Charlie by Alice Oseman:

This one's for the Heartstopper fans, but specifically for the comic. This novella takes place at a time about a year after where the comic is now, which is much further in Nick & Charlie's story than the show is at. Nick & Charlie are very focused on university, but for very different reasons. Charlie doesn't want to be left behind, but Nick is excited to get away. Will this couple be able to work through their feelings? You might want to wait for the Heartstopper comic to finish before finding out.

Asunder by David Gaider:

This is the third tie-in book for the Dragon Age video game series. This book is a prequel to the third game, Inquisition. It takes place in the months leading up to the the fateful Conclave and serves as the backstory for the companion named Cole. Cole befriends a mage named Rhys, one of the few people who can see him and the only one who can retain memory of him. No one knows quite what he is, but he's determined to be by Rhys's side as the mage deals with politics reconnects with his mother, helps a man in danger, and falls in love. But we know from the game, these two must go their separate ways at some point.

How To Ride a Dragon's Storm by Cressida Cowell:

This is the seventh book in the How to Train Your Dragon series, a series which must be read in order. In this installment, what starts out as a friendly swimming race quickly turns into a 3-month voyage to America. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III has made a slew of enemies throughout his journeys, including Norbert the Nutjob. Norbert is an inventor who dreams of going to America, but he needs an item that Hiccup has stolen from him to get there. He kidnaps Hiccup, Fishlegs, and Camicazi, not expecting to have to keep them alive the whole voyage. Hiccup gets some important character development in this book and I look forward to seeing where he goes next.
